Mr Chris Clementi ACIB
Director nominated by The Mercers’ Company of the City of London.
Chris Clementi started his career advising on personal taxation, and spent most of his working life in the marketing of financial services. He specialised in the technical aspects of UK unit trusts and investment funds managed from outside the UK.
Mr Martin Evans CPFA
Martin Evans is a retired Chartered Public Finance Accountant and was formerly Managing Director of Audit at the Audit Commission for Local Government and the NHS in England.
Mr Jon Dean
Jon Dean is a self-employed Chartered Surveyor who has been working in the Croydon area for over 30 years. He is also Property Advisor to the Southern Synod of the United Reformed Church.
Mrs Diana Hemmings
Diana Hemmings has been on the Board of Trustees/Directors since 2008. She is a Southwark Pastoral Auxiliary at Croydon Minster and is involved in pastoral care. Diana supports community activities and is very involved with her grandchildren.
Mrs Deborah Knight
Deborah Knight is a retired Registered Dietitian who worked for the NHS in Croydon. A large part of the work was with older people including those in residential care.

Caroline Melrose has worked in both public and private organisations as an HR professional (FCIPD), and has lived in the Croydon Borough for the last 30 years.
Revd David Pennells
Father David had a successful career in day care and residential settings for older people. He helped commission a specialist care home for people with dementia and also worked with people with physical disabilities. He then moved into social care regulation, with Croydon Council and subsequently with the Care Quality Commission and its predecessors. More recently he undertook full-time theological training, and in 2015 became the Vicar of St Peter & St Paul, Mitcham, where Mary Tate is buried.
Mr Paul Smith
Paul Smith was a teacher and Assistant Head in Croydon for nearly 40 years. He now keeps busy by doing some tutoring, being Treasurer of the Croydon U3A, dog walking and supporting Crystal Palace. He is married with 3 grown up sons.
Mrs Lynda Talbot
Lynda Talbot has lived in Croydon for 44 years. She is a former primary school teacher. She then worked in Adult Literacy for 20 years with special needs adults. She is an Abbeyfield director, on The Children's Society committee in Sanderstead, Elder at Sanderstead U.R.C and a volunteer at the Jean Garwood Centre as a "Sewing instructor" & a housewife!

Carol Trower has a background in healthcare, and was for a short while the Manager at Elis David Almshouses, before becoming a Trustee / Director of the charity in 1989.

Sue Woolley is a retired State Registered Occupational Therapist, Organisational Development Consultant and Senior NHS Manager with wide ranging experience of providing mental health, learning disability and community.

Revd Canon Dr Andrew Bishop
The Revd Canon Dr Andrew Bishop has been Priest-in-Charge of Croydon Minster since September 2018. Fr Andrew has ministered in London, Hampshire and latterly at Guildford Cathedral and the University of Surrey. He writes and speaks on a variety of topics and is the author of a recent book 'Theosomnia: A Christian Theology of Sleep'.
Ms Pamela Hall: Church Warden
A professional performer and qualified teacher, Pamela has worked in all sectors of education, the voluntary sector and as an actor and singer. She is currently on the singing staff at Laine Theatre Arts; a founder member of Actors' Creative Team; and Churchwarden and a Lay Clerk at Croydon Minster.
Ms Arlene Esdaile: Church Warden
Arlene Esdaile was formerly a local government officer with a background in Housing and Housing Benefits and a Board member at Hyde Housing Group. She is now the General Manger of an IT software development company and a Churchwarden at Croydon Minster.
Donald Douglas is the Chief Executive Officer and Company Secretary for the charities. Tessa Damer is the Finance and Admin Manager.
The day to day running of the almshouses in Croydon and Mitcham is the responsibility of the Manager, Janet Foster. She is supported by the Deputy Manager Michelle Mullane, and three Housing Support staff.
